Smart Energy Link (SEL) is the integral overall solution for the future: self-consumption optimisation, peak load control, intelligent charging solution, energy cost billing and energy monitoring. SEL is developed as an open, adaptive system that can be individually adapted and easily expanded. The strengths of SEL lie in area optimisation and in the operation of solar and bidirectional charging solutions. The system also enables the transmission of technical alarms and Minergie monitoring.

Data protection and IT security
Data protection guarantee | The following basic rules shall be followed: The minimum amount of data necessary to provide the solution shall always be identified. Any communication that leaves the context of a device must be protected by E2EE. Data shall be kept context-free (dissociated from personal and location data) when possible. Data loss shall be countered by redundancy. Any access to data must be kept to a minimum. Software and technologies used are kept up to date. A customer-independent and separate network is to be used. All regulations of the Switzerlander Data Protection Act (DSG) are complied with. Measurement data and personal data hosted on different servers. Measurement data is sent E2EE via MQTT anonymized by UUIDs to the Google Cloud, hosted in Belgium. Accesses to databases from outside the Google Cloud are SSL enforced. The entire pipeline from data discovery to data retention is redundantly designed to avoid data loss. Customer data is hosted in Switzerland at Google. A tenant has access only to his own energy and billing data and loses it as of move-out date. A customer portal login provides limited data access. We grant the right to be forgotten by explicitly deleting specific user data at any time. The traffic of remote operations and monitoring takes place in a VPN, in which in turn only encrypted access via ssh to the servers is possible. |
Data storage | Cloud - in Switzerland |
Certification of Cloud solution | No certification |

Costs
Costs at building level
These are rough estimates. An offer must be requested for exact cost information.
The following use case was assumed for the cost estimate:
1 Multi-party residential building with the following components (excluding commercial):
- Measuring units: 20 electricity meters, 20 heat meters, 20 water meters (hot & cold)
- 1 photovoltaic system (with 1 inverter)
- 1 heat pump (SG-Ready)
- 1 hot water boiler
- 20 parking spaces, 5 of which are fully equipped with charging stations
-
Of these, the following functions can be fulfilled:
Measure electricity meterMeasure heat meterMeasure water meterIntegration PV systemControl heat pumpControl water boilerDynamic load managementData delivery consumption charging stations for billing (without collection)Implementation ZEV (pure data delivery - no collection) -
Of these, the following functions cannot be fulfilled:
One-time hardware costs | CHF6,000 Control server / Gateway / Electricity meter / 1 x current transformer / Switch Heat and water meter |
One-time software costs | CHF950 Software modules: WP / heating insert / electromobility / PV |
Total of one-time costs | CHF6,950 |
Project management costs | CHF7,760 5250 CHF Planning, commissioning, configuration 2'510 CHF Commissioning of heat and water meters |
Annual costs | CHF2,555 in case of billing via administration:(electricity billing 21 units, heating billing 20 units, water billing 20 units, electric mobility billing 5 units) Additional charge for collection of electricity: 1'200 CHF |
Deviation/discounts for portfolio with 100 buildings (per building) | Not stated |
